Not thirty hours of production. Thirty hours of attention — the kind that cannot be automated, cannot be accelerated, cannot be replicated exactly even by the same hands on the same day. Every piece that leaves the atelier is the only version of itself that will ever exist.
This is not a candle you light immediately.
You place it first. You find the right surface — somewhere it will be seen without being crowded, somewhere the light will find it at the right angle in the late afternoon. You live with it unlit for a while, because an object made with this much care deserves to be looked at before it is consumed.
Magnolia blossom and white peony in the heart. Soft floral musk underneath, barely present, the way a foundation is present — not noticed until it is gone.
When you do light it, the wax releases slowly from the outermost petals inward. The sculpture does not collapse. It transforms. One form becoming another, neither lesser than the first.

This feels much more like an early fall scent to me than a summer one. I’ve been reaching for it on cooler evenings with the windows slightly open.
I knew it was shaped like a flower, but I didn’t realize how dimensional the petals would look until I opened the box. It really does look like a decorative object before you notice the wick.
I went back to this page three times before ordering because $88 felt like a lot for a candle. When it arrived, the first thing my husband asked was whether it was actually wax. I’ve had it sitting on our console for a week and honestly haven’t wanted to light it yet.
I hesitated for a few days because $88 is more than I normally spend on a candle. Once it arrived, I understood that I wasn’t really comparing it to the candles I usually buy.
It was a little smaller than I pictured from the photos, although the measurements on the site are accurate. Once I put it on my bedside table, the scale actually made sense.
I liked it when I first opened the box, but I actually prefer it once it’s been burning for a while. The floral part softens and the warmer notes come through more.
I probably wouldn’t buy the exact same scent again right away only because I want to try another one first. But I would definitely buy this format again.
