Scent
A deep oriental woody scent built around oud and sandalwood.
- Primary notes: Oud · sandalwood
- Character: Deep oriental woody accord
How to Use & Care
- Before each burn, trim the wood wick to 1/8–1/4 inch (3–6 mm).
- Move the purple crystal pieces and any loose décor away from direct flame contact before lighting.
- Place the bowl on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from fabric and paper.
- Burn only within sight, and keep away from children and pets.
- For best performance, limit each burn to 2–3 hours.
- The concrete bowl may become warm. Do not touch or move it while the candle is burning.
- Let the wax and vessel cool fully before moving or washing the bowl. Avoid sudden temperature changes that may stress the material.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources. Stop use when 1/2 inch (12 mm) of wax remains.
The Story
The bowl is charcoal grey and heavy in a way that is immediately legible to the hands — the weight of hand-fired concrete, of actual material, of something that was not optimized for lightness.
This is intentional.
Le Trône d'Ebène was not designed for rooms that are still finding themselves. It was designed for rooms that have already decided what they are — and for the woman in them who has made the same decision about herself.
Oud and sandalwood. The combination is not new; it is one of the oldest fragrance pairings in the world, used across centuries and continents by people who understood that certain moments require a scent that does not apologize for taking up space. The wood wick adds sound — a low crackle, steady and unhurried, that gives the silence a spine.
The purple crystal inclusion catches the flame light differently at different angles. The concrete surface of this bowl will never be identical to another — hand-fired, hand-poured, finished by someone who made decisions about this specific object.
You will notice this. The hands always notice what other hands have done.
This is not a candle for the beginning of something. It is a candle for the middle — the long, unglamorous, entirely necessary middle of becoming exactly who you have decided to be.
Burn it there. It belongs there.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of candle is Oudh & Sandalwood?
It is a Whisper Bloom NYC stone bowl candle made with 160 g of 100% soy wax in a hand-fired concrete stone bowl, with a wood wick, natural purple crystal pieces, and pure natural Indian botanical essential oil.
What are the purple crystal pieces?
They are natural purple crystal pieces. Move them clear of the direct flame path before lighting, and handle them only after the wax and bowl are fully cool. The pieces are yours to keep after the candle ends.
Is the concrete stone bowl reusable?
Yes. The concrete bowl can be reused after the candle has finished and the vessel has cooled fully. Do not wash it while hot or expose it to sudden temperature changes.
How should the candle be burned safely?
Trim the wood wick to 1/8–1/4 inch (3–6 mm), clear crystal pieces and loose décor from the flame path, and burn on a stable heat-resistant surface within sight for no more than 2–3 hours at a time. Keep away from children, pets, fabric, and paper, and let the wax and bowl cool fully before moving or washing.

I originally thought it was expensive for the size. After using it for a week, I think the design and the fact that I’ll keep the stone bowl afterward are what make the difference for me.

The wooden wick took me a minute to get used to because I normally buy cotton-wick candles, but once it was burning the flame looked really beautiful against the stone bowl.

The stone bowl was the biggest surprise for me. It’s heavier than it looks in the photos and the texture feels really beautiful in person. It definitely doesn’t feel like a regular candle jar.
